The Shortcut
Wendell and Floyd decided to take a shortcut to school. “Boy, I sure don’t want to be late!” sighed Floyd. “HA! I’m not sure that’s even possible!”Wendell complained. The two boys galloped along. “Hey… I know a shortcut!” whispered Floyd under his breath, careful not to let anyone hear. “Well then let’s go! I don’t want to be late AGAIN,” sighed Wendell. So the two boys hurried off. Over the hill and through the woods, Wendell and Floyd skidded to a stop. “Great. WATER.” mumbled Wendell. “Don’t be a scaredy cat,” Floyd groaned. The boys sailed across on a nearby boat. “Ninja Turtles!” they exclaimed. They dove down under the water to escape them. The Ninja Turtles swam fast at their heels. Floyd and Wendell escaped just in time. The two boys moaned and groaned when they found what was ahead of them next. Demons, then Quicksand, then MORE demons. Floyd grabbed a stick and Wendell grabbed a leaf. “How will
that help?” a confused Floyd asked. “Fine,” muttered Wendell, who dropped the leaf and grabbed a vine. They battled their way through the demons, sending them flying at every step. They crossed the quicksand with Wendell’s vine and battled through the rest of the demons. They crossed to a rocky pathway that twisted and turned through the mountains. “Some shortcut,” mumbled Wendell. As they crossed through the mountains they felt relieved to have no more obstacles. Suddenly a mountain top
behind them blew off and cold snowflakes fell everywhere. The temperature dropped rapidly. “S-s-s-s so C-c-cold.” shivered Wendell. “Oh stop complaining.” sighed Floyd, a hint of shivering in his breath. They ran out of mountain range and into a mud pit. They scrambled through the mud to school. They burst through the door, ran down the hall, and slid into their seats just as the bell rang. “Nice to see you boys.” hummed the teacher with a twang of annoyance in his voice. “Well at least were on time.” Floyd
whispered to Wendell. “Ha-ha. Grumbled Wendell sarcastically. “On time and muddy.”

If I were in charge of the World
If I were in charge of the world
I would cancel homework Sickness and not feeling well And school
If I were in charge of the world
There would be more turtles More Ice Cream More Candy Flat screen computers Free
iPads And magical ability to fly
If I were in charge of the world
A person who Plays on the computer too much Likes to chase cats and doesn’t eat a full lunch Could still be in charge of the world
